Windows Server is the base OS over which specific servers are hosted like IIS web server, sql server, AD server, etc.

IIS or Internet Information Service is the service for web servers provided by Microsoft. IIS is actually a service that, when enabled on a Windows server, will act as a web or IIS server and can host websites.

In short, you can say the IIS server is a subset of the Windows server…!!!
