How to Get Started with CJ.com
To join the CJ Affiliate Network, go to www.cj.com. And scroll down until you see the section where you can sign up. There are two ways to sign up: as an advertiser or publisher. Click on “Publishers” to sign up, as “Advertisers” is for businesses that want to add their program to CJ’s network.
As a publisher for CJ, you will get paid a commission if you work with them to advertise and earn a commission. Signing up is easy, and all you need to do is give your name and email address. After you send those in, you’ll need to confirm your email address by clicking the link in an email you’ll get.
How to Look for Affiliate Programs
Once you’ve signed up and been approved as a CJ Affiliate (Publisher), you can use the affiliate network and look for affiliate programs. Here’s where the fun starts!
Go to the CJ Affiliate Portal and click on the “Advertisers” tab at the top. You can begin to consider for affiliate programs to work with here.
Search by type of affiliate
Searching by category is one of the easiest ways to find affiliate programs. Since you should already know your website’s niche at this point, you should have a few categories in mind for what you’re going to write about.
Click the Category option beneath the search box to search by category. Here, you can see the different kinds of affiliate programs that CJ offers. You can choose as many categories as you want and then hit the search button again.
How to Join Affiliate Programs
When you find an affiliate program you like, all you have to do is click the “Join Program” button next to it. Then, a pop-up box will ask you to agree to the affiliate program’s terms. So easy is it to sign up for each program. After you send in your application, the company will look it over and decide if you are a good fit or not.
When you click the button to join the program, you may find that you are automatically turned down. The affiliate program has certain requirements that your profile does not meet, such as the amount of traffic, the amount of money you make, or the type of business you run. If this is the case, but you still think you’d be a good fit, you can find the affiliate’s contact information by clicking on “More Info” under the affiliate program. You’ll find an email address, website, or phone number to call. See the picture below.
Usually, it only takes between one and two days after you apply to find out if it was accepted. If it were, you’d get an email letting you know. Some companies get so many applications that it could take them long to get to yours. If that happens, you can also contact the affiliate company by following the steps above.
Where to Look for Your Links
Once you’ve been accepted, you can start making money.
Before you can start using the affiliate program, you’ll need to look at all of the affiliate links. Every affiliate program is different, so you’ll need to look at what’s there. If you can’t find anything, you can also make your affiliate content.

Extra Link Types
Most companies don’t offer Advanced link types because they are harder for advertisers to set up. Advanced links are boxes that you can interact with. Most of the time, these boxes are search boxes. Here’s an example from Trip Advisor that shows how you can use the site to find hotels.
Picture Banners
Banners might look like the advanced box up top, but they are just pictures where you can’t type or search. Banners let you add a graphic ad for a company’s products, services, or sales to your page.
Linking Text
The text links are just website addresses (URLs) that take you to different parts of the company’s website. This could be for a certain product, a page with a discount, or something else. You’ll use this to link to text or post on your social media site most of the time.
What is the best way to get links for your website?
Each link you find will have a button that says “Get Code” and looks like this: “/>.” You’ll use each one differently, which I’ll describe below:
Advanced Link Types and Banners
For these two types of links, click “/>” and then “Get Code,” which will show you the “HTML” code. To get the banner/interactive box to show up on your site, copy everything in the box that says “HTML” and paste it there.

Linking Text
Most of the time, all you need for text links is the website’s URL, which you can find by clicking the “/>” button next to each link and then the “Get Code” tab. You can scroll down and also click the “Click URL” tab to get a shortened URL that will take your customer to the right place. See the picture below:
