Yoast Vs Rank Math SEO Plugin

So, Yoast SEO is for someone who owns a business, is a professional blogger, makes content, builds websites, or is an SEO expert. It helps you make sure your website is always in good shape.

Rank Math Introduction

Another Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plugin for WordPress is RankMath. The creator of the Rank Math plugin says that it is the Swiss Army knife of SEO tools for WordPress.

Rank Math’s Features

  • The setup wizard is easy to use.
  • A communication that is easy to utilize and clean.
  • Modular Framework
  • Code that is optimized for speed (Lightweight)
  • Helpful support
  • Edit the titles and descriptions of all of your content in bulk

Rank Math vs. Yoast: Set Up Configuration

Setting up the software is the first time people use it, and this makes a big difference in how they feel about it at first. So, let’s compare how each of the plugins is set up.

RankMath

RankMath is easy to set up and has a clean look. After installing Rank Math, a 5-step installation wizard will appear. You can sign up using Google, Facebook, or email. But you can skip this. After that, you need to enter the site name, search console information, sitemap configuration, advanced optimization, and setting confirmation. Once you’re done with the basic settings, you can move on to more advanced ones.

Yoast SEO

On the other hand, Yoast has an 8-step setup wizard where you have to set up basic settings like site type, organization type, search engine visibility, authors option, title setting, etc. During the setup process, Yoast is different because it has a built-in video guide, which might be good for people just starting.

So, I think both plugins are great from a setup point of view. Rank Math gives you more options, like a search console, a sitemap, and an SEO optimization option that helps automate some SEO tasks, like making external links no-follow and redirecting attachment pages.

Rank Math vs. Yoast SEO: User Interface

The user interface is one of the most important parts of any software. A simple and clean user interface brings more people and gives users more value. Let’s talk about how each plugin’s interface works.

Yoast SEO

Yoast SEO’s user interface is more about how it works than it looks. Sure, you can do everything if all the options are neatly put into well-defined groups. But there’s nothing that can be made because the Yoast SEO UI looks a little boring.

Rank Math

The dashboard for Rank Math is easy to use. Different features are easy to turn on and off one by one. You can clearly describe each feature and its current state inside the box. Rank Math has a nice-looking interface that looks and feels modern and makes the user’s experience better. I thought that the interface for rank math was pretty easy to use. Even so, Yoast hasn’t had much trouble setting up either.

Yoast vs. Rank Math: Assigning Keywords

With this feature, you can add keywords, write the title and meta description, set the permalink, and choose the keyword that the content will be centered around. This is an important part of an SEO tool, and you can’t just optimize your page or post without taking care of these settings. Both plugins let you set keywords, titles, meta, and permalinks and show you how your content looks on Google’s page differently. In the next image, you can notice how both plugins work when assigning keywords.

Yoast SEO

In the free version of Yoast, you can only use one keyword to describe your content. You have to buy the premium version to optimize for more than one keyword. Yoast shows the level of content optimization with green, orange, and red lights. The SEO score, legibility score, and Google page preview can be examined. It’s easy to use keyword assigning tools.

Rank Math

In the same way, Rank Math lets you choose up to 5 keywords to optimize, but you have to sign up for a free account to do so. The title, meta, and permalink settings work the same as Yoast, and the preview of the Google page on both mobile and desktop devices is also shown. The score in Rank Math is shown as a number from 0 to 100. If your score is above 80, it bends green most of the time. So, you need to make sure your content is optimized until your score is green.

Also, as soon as you start to type a keyword into the “focus keyword” box, Rank Math will give you suggestions. Both plugins do a great job with the option to assign keywords. The Rank Math system gives you a score, and the Yoast system gives you color. It’s up to you to decide which one sounds better to you. One good thing about Rank Math is that it will automatically start suggesting different keywords and long tail keywords based on what Google suggests, as shown in the image above. But Yoast doesn’t have this feature.

Yoast Vs. Rank Math – Performance Comparison

Because it is a technical term, we aren’t sure how well it worked. But RankMath says that it is very small, quick, effective, and well-coded. On the other hand, Yoast SEO version 14.0 comes with a new “ Indexable feature,” making your site run better and faster. Yoast SEO indexes your pages and stores the information in a single table in your database when you use this feature. In this case, as a user, you don’t notice that difference.

Rank Math vs. Yoast: Pricing

When it comes to how much these two plugins cost, RankMath is free right now. On the other hand, Yoast SEO is freemium, which means you have to pay to use some of its features. Rank Math may have a paid version in the future, but you can use it with all of its features for free right now.

Yoast vs. Rank Math: How to Connect Google Search Console

Rank Math makes it much easier to integrate the Search Console. During the setup process, you can add the Search Console. All you have to do is enter and verify your Gmail account, and then the Search Console data will show up in your WordPress dashboard. You can also use the search console with Yoast SEO. But it doesn’t have a direct way for you to look at your search console records.

Rank Math vs. Yoast: XML Sitemap Integration

When it comes to indexing, a site’s Sitemap file is a very important part. Google’s crawler can’t find your site without a sitemap. The Yoast and Rank Math SEO plugins will automatically make a sitemap for your site. Both plugins will have a different URL for the sitemap, but that doesn’t affect the site. You can make custom sitemaps with both plugins once you have different types of posts on your site, such as a news sitemap, an image sitemap, etc.

Yoast Vs. Rank Math: Updates

Yoast SEO is more likely to get updates than Rank Math. You can think of these frequent updates in two ways: Rank Math isn’t competitive enough and has too many bugs and problems, or it’s trying to grow too quickly. Rank Math says that their regular updates are trying to keep up with how Google’s algorithms change and how often they are updated. For example, they added new Schema Markups right away after Google’s update, and when the BERT update came out, they took away the readability options.

Choice is Yours

There isn’t a big difference between these plugins, so we can’t recommend one of them directly. You can choose any add-on. I found it easy to use Rank Math, but you might not feel the same way. Yoast has been around for a long time, but Rank Math is still new. So, millions of users have more faith in Yoast. If you’re using the paid version of Yoast, I think you shouldn’t switch. But if you use Yoast for free, you can try both and decide later which one you like best.
